My next exhibit will run from February 17 thru March 13
Reception: Saturday February 27 from 2 - 5 PM. Open to the public. Come and have fun.Oil-paintings and woven baskets will be the featured at the Arts Alliance Gallery, 716 Main Street, Elk River, beginning February 17 and running thru Saturday, March 13. A reception for the artists and the public will be held February 27 from 2 - 5 PM.Roxanne Current will be one of three featured artists, with her painterly-style of oil-painting of various subjects. She paints with the Harvey Schroeder studio group, and has also recently studied with Marc Hanson and Bonita Roberts. Her methods and subject-matter evolve continually in her journey with her art.
Mark Haglund will present the paintings from his current "Project 20," portraits of 20 people he knows. A full-time artist who also does furniture restoration, Mark will also show landscapes, local landmarks and still lifes. Mark gets his inspiration from observing "life around him," as well as studying painting with groups and workshops.
Diane Ericson is a basket weaver who has her own business, Baskets From the Heart, in Rogers, MN. She also teaches at guilds, conventions, and fiber arts classes as well as from her studio in Rogers and was guest-instructor at Gustavus Adolphus College.
